Video Guide:

This is a guide to Skirk, the upcoming five-star Cryo character from the Abyss. Skirk is the best cryo main D.P.S. and might power creep Mavuika as well as Neuvillette. Skirk gets critical damage stats from leveling her up. Skirk is unique in that she has zero energy and has a different ultimate gauge like Mavuika. Skirk has a unique mode that allows her to get her ultimate, but it requires her to stay on the field, or she loses everything. Skirk has a second mode that increases A.O.E. and damage from her normal attacks and charged attacks as well as her interruption resistance. Her Normal, Charged, and Plunging Attacks are Cryo Infused and cannot be overridden. Skirk can also walk on water like Furina, but unlike Furina, she will likely create ice when walking. Skirk’s charged attacks involve throwing something at enemies. Her tap skill provides her with stacks, which switches her to mode two. She has interruption resistance with her hold elemental skill as well as gaining stacks. Skirk needs fifty stacks to use her elemental burst, which she consumes to deal A.O.E. Cryo damage. Like Mavuika, Skirk can increase the damage dealt by her elemental burst when the stacks are over fifty, up to a maximum of twelve stacks, so sixty-two stacks in total. Skirk has a second elemental burst that increases normal attack by a lot. Her talents are insane. The first is that when teammates trigger a cryo-related reaction, she gains eight stacks, and her second talent states that when either hydro or cryo damage is dealt by teammates, she gains a stack of something else, up to three. These stacks increase Skirk’s normal attack original damage and Skirk’s elemental burst original damage by a lot. Her third talent requires her to have only Hydro and Cryo teammates; if so, all allies and she increase the level of their Elemental Skill.

For Skirk’s ability level priority, first level her elemental skill, second her basic attack, and lastly her elemental burst. Also make sure you get Skirk to level ninety to deal the most damage.

For Skirk’s artifact set, you want to use the Finale of the Deep Galleries. Its two-piece effect increases cryo damage by fifteen percent. Its four-piece effect states that when Skirk has zero elemental energy, normal attack damage is increased by sixty percent as well as elemental burst damage by sixty percent. Once Skirk deals normal attack or elemental burst damage, the other’s effect will stop applying for six seconds. This effect can be triggered off-field.

For Skirk’s sands, use attack percent. For her goblet, use cryo damage percent. For her circlet, use either critical rate or critical damage percent.

For Skirk’s substat priority, prioritize critical rate and critical damage percent, aiming for a one-to-two crit ratio; next, prioritize attack percent; and lastly, flat attack.

If you are a dolphin or a low spender and want to decide between Skirk’s constellation one and her five-star signature weapon, I would recommend pulling her constellation one because it deals an insane amount of A.O.E. cryo damage as compared to her signature weapon, which provides her with an attack percent increase and critical damage increase. Honestly, it depends if you want a straight nuke of damage or raw stats.

Skirk can use Ayaka’s signature five-star sword, Mistsplitter Reforged. It provides a twelve percent elemental damage bonus.

Skirk can use Ayato’s signature five-star sword, Haran Geppaku Futsu. It also provides a twelve percent elemental damage bonus. In addition, consuming stacks provides Skirk with an increased normal attack damage of twenty percent.

Skirk can use Chiori’s signature five-star sword, Uraku Misugiri. It increases normal attack and elemental skill damage by sixteen percent and twenty-four percent, respectively.

A standard five-star banner sword that Skirk can use is the Primordial Jade Cutter, which provides her with critical rate stats, H.P. stats, and an attack bonus.

A four-star battle pass sword that Skirk can use is Wolf-Fang. It provides critical rate with its substat. Damage dealt by elemental skill and elemental burst is increased by sixteen percent. When either an elemental skill or an elemental burst hits the enemy, the critical rate is increased by two percent for the ability separately.

Another four-star battle pass sword that Skirk can use is The Black Sword. It provides critical rate stats. At refinement level five, it increases normal attack and charge attack damage by forty percent. It also regenerates one hundred percent of attack as H.P. when normal or charged attacks deal a critical hit.

A standard banner four-star that Skirk can use is Sacrificial Sword. The energy recharge substats are wasted, but at refinement level five, Skirk has an eighty percent chance to reset her elemental skill. It really depends on how often the reset happens and if Skirk’s elemental skill deals a lot of damage.

A free-to-play four-star sword that Skirk can use is Kagotsurube Isshin. It provides attack percent stats. When normal attacks, charged attacks, or plunging attacks hit an enemy, a gale will be created, dealing A.O.E. damage equal to one hundred eighty percent of Skirk’s attack and increasing attack by fifteen percent for eight seconds.

The four-star sword Finale of the Deep can be used by Skirk if you have Escoffier to clear the Bond of Life. Finale of the Deep provides attack percent when using Skirk’s elemental skill and more attack when her bond of life is cleared.

A three-star sword that Skirk can use is Harbinger of Dawn, but it requires her to stay at greater than ninety percent H.P., which is tough to do.

For Skirk’s teams, you have to play with only Cryo and Hydro characters. Skirk’s best team is the Foul Skirk, dragon god king Neuvillette, chef Escoffier, and Aether simp Citlali. A free-to-play team includes Skirk, Rosaria, Xingqiu, and Barbara. Another free-to-play team is Skirk, Charlotte, Candace, and Xingqiu. A third free-to-play team is Skirk, Layla, Xingqiu, and Candace. A fourth free-to-play team is Skirk, Diona, Xinqiu, and Candace. A fifth free-to-play team is Skirk, Chongyun, Xingqiu, and Barbara. A sixth free-to-play team is Skirk, Kaeya, Xinqiu, and Barbara.

If you are a whale, I would recommend stopping at either constellation two or constellation six. Constellation two makes it so that Skirk gains an extra twelve stacks when using her elemental skill, and an extra twelve stacks are counted towards her elemental burst—seventy-four stacks in total. Additionally, normal attack damage is further increased by a lot. Constellation Four further increases her attack. Constellation Six allows Skirk to perform additional attacks that deal more than the Constellation One nuke amount. Also, she will deal three more attacks with her normal attack. If Skirk takes damage, she will decrease damage taken by a lot and deal additional attacks. I would get constellation six, Skirk.
