During the yearly Lantern Rite event, Genshin Impact offers a free, selectable four star character from Liyue. While the general suggestion is always to pick whoever you like the most, if you are looking for the best option for your account, I'm here to help! Listed below is an ordered tier list representing the general recommendations for who you should pick.

As the above tier list states, the best characters to select would be Xingqiu, Xiangling, Lan Yan, Gaming, and Yaoyao. The other characters are still good, so don't worry; if you like them, pick them! The top tier characters simply tend to be more valuable for a multitude of reasons.

While this tier list will hold up as a general guideline, note that some constellations can change character placements. For example, if your free pick will unlock Xingqiu's C6, Xiangling's C4, or Gaming's C6, then their ratings will shift up drastically.
