Use your AA>Q>AA combo to quickly destroy wards to deny vision.
Before looking to engage, make sure your ADC is in a position to follow up and that you have checked the minimap. Once you’re in- you’re in, and it is difficult to back away from.
When roaming around the map, use your R from fog of war to catch out the enemy Mid laner. This should result in an easy pickup.

Taric: Taric's Dazzle (E) can stun Leona during her E or Q engages, disrupting her combos and locking her down. His sustain from Q can mitigate Leona's poke.
Janna: Janna's Q can interrupt Leona's engages and disengage her from fights with her R. Janna's passive movement speed bonus can also help her or her ADC evade Leona's skill shots.
Zilean: Zilean's double bombs can stun Leona, preventing her from engaging effectively. His Rewind (W) ability allows him to frequently apply crowd control and disrupt Leona's all-ins.

Yuumi: Leona's hard engages can make it extremely difficult for Yuumi to maintain her attachment to her host, leaving her and her ADC vulnerable. Leona's crowd control can lock down Yuumi or her host effectively, making it challenging for Yuumi to provide consistent support.
Nautilus: While Nautilus is a tanky support, Leona can outdamage and outtrade him in the early game. Her passive can quickly melt Nautilus's health, especially if her ADC follows up with damage.
Blitzcrank: Leona's strong all-in potential can make it risky for Blitzcrank to attempt hooks. If Leona engages first, she can quickly disable Blitzcrank and potentially set up kills or force summoner spells, reducing his threat.

Early Game: In the early game, Leona should be aggressive, looking for opportunities to engage with her Zenith Blade (E) and lock down enemies with her stun combo. Coordinate with your ADC, utilizing your passive (Sunlight) procs to deal significant damage, control the brush, and zone enemies, creating a strong presence in the lane.
Mid Game: During the mid game, Leona should focus on roaming and setting up plays across the map. Secure vision control in crucial areas, initiate fights with your Solar Flare (R), and peel for your carries. Use your crowd control to catch out-of-position enemies, ensuring your team secures objectives and maintains map control.
Late Game: In the late game, Leona transitions into a powerful initiator and peeler. Prioritize protecting your carries in team fights, using your crowd control to disrupt enemy divers, and providing vision control around critical objectives like Baron and Elder Dragon. Use your Solar Flare and Zenith Blade to engage or catch enemies out, creating opportunities for your team to secure game-changing picks and objectives.
