Worlds 2024 Details
- All eyes then turn to Worlds 2024, the crowning event of the League competitive year.
- The tournament gets underway September 25th and runs through November 2nd.
- This time it's Europe's turn to host Worlds.
- Berlin will be the site of the Play-In and Group Stages at the recently renovated LEC Studios. The playoffs will shift to Paris and the Accor Arena for quarterfinals and semifinals.
- The grand finals return to London’s famed O2 Arena. The 20,000 seat venue was also the site of the 2019 Worlds finals. It's become a bit of a staple location to host the climatic final matchup of the Worlds.
What's New in the Tournament
- Importantly, Riot will continue rolling out format updates introduced last year aimed at improving competitive integrity and viewer experiences. This includes changes to the group stage.
- Additionally, the MSI winner will directly qualify for Worlds as their region's 4th seed. This should further raise the stakes for MSI.
