Focus on farming the jungle until level 6 where you unlock your R. Only gank lanes that will result in gaining kills.
Wait for the enemy to use their CC or poke ability before using your Q. Use your Q to dodge the damage or crowd control.
When no team fights are occuring, look to split push and apply pressure to side lanes/towers.

Rammus: Rammus is one of the biggest counters to Yi since he will make us kill ourselves while auto'ing him. Get QSS or Mercs.
Amumu: Amumu's CC can be very annoying to play against, look to pixel perfect his ultimate with your Q.
Elise: Elise's damage and CC is very oppressive to play against. You need to dodge her E and preferably get Mercs.

Nunu & Willump: You just need to dodge his snowball with your Q and you just kill the guy.
Karthus: Karthus is very easy to kill, just run him down whenever you get a chance.
Rengar: Timing Rengar's all in with your W is the difference maker. Once that is absorbed, you just proceed by running him down.

Early Game: You can easily beat anyone in the early game in a 1v1, make sure to utilize your W properly since damage reduction + healing is very important. Level 6 is our big powerspike since now we can finally start ganking and also win duels with more easy.
Mid Game: Shadow your laners and dont be afraid to split push on your own as well, you can deal with pretty much anyone. It's very easy to dive since your Q will de-aggro the turret and at the same time your W will give you the necessary damage reduction you need.
Late Game: Look to wait for the perfect moment to go in and clean up fights, that's what your champion is made for. If need be, tell your team to assist you on the objective since you just need the reassurance that you don't get collapsed on.
