Try to poke your laners as much as possible in the early game, don't be scared if your teammate dies since you have your W, so stick and fight with them to revive them.
Always have a look during teamfights to see who you need to use your W on. Using it for move speed is okay as well, but be careful they don't die before it coming back.
Your ultimate will make the difference in late the game, however, it is very slow so make sure to be in a good position to land it.

Morgana: Her black shield can completely counter your kit, make sure to fight when she doesn't have that.
Zyra: Her constant poke can be hard to play against, and in addition her plants will stop your Q.
Brand: Brand has a lot of damage and he outranges you, which makes your laning phase pretty hard.

Twitch: Twitch has no real ways to harm you, if he goes for a trade you just turn on him cause he is squishy with no mobility.
Alistar: You can stop Alistar's W+Q with your Q if timed properly and break his combo.
Bard: Bard can be a bit annoying, but he has no real way to do anything to you since you win most trades.

Early Game: The only matchups that we mind facing are Mages. Their constant poke and crazy damage is a nuisance. Anything else should be easier to deal with. Ultimate is very crucial since it will allow you to apply a lot of pressure and then even if you get ganked you can turn it all around.
Mid Game: Swap with your midlaner when the first turret bot is take and babysit your ADC. Make sure to put vision as well at the same time. Diving is a must with Renata because even if you or your ally dies, you have your W to bring them back to life when you kill the enemy.
Late Game: The same thing goes for late game as well, keep doing your peeling and engaging constantly. You can now use W for move speed as well since it's low cooldown. Warding and clearing vision still remains your main job, but watch out about going too deep since you can end up dying.
