Top 5 Champions for Each Role

Mordekaiser is the only Top Laner getting changed for this patch so nothing is going to change much in the tier list. Urgot and Trundle are both champions that can deal with Morde relatively easy, so he won't take the spot from any of them.
Trundle has been on the verge of the Top Tier and with Fiora dropping in priority due to her recent nerfs, there's no better split push champion that you can play than Trundle. Champ is especially very good in lower elos since he doesn't require much to just take over games.

Briar is getting nerfed this patch but the changes don't look to bad on paper. Briar shouldn't be losing too much strength at all and you shouldn't drop Briar from your Champ pool as a result of these nerfs.
Zac was a contender for Top Tier so with him getting nerfed this patch, Bel should have the edge. Bel'Veth is such a reliable champion since she scales greatly into the later stages of the game. The fact that you also gaing your True Form by taking one of the Voidgrubs is amazing for Bel to really snowball.

Mid Lane is the role that sees the most movement for Patch 14.8 with Akali, Hwei, Ryze and LeBlanc making great improvements. Azir is also getting nerfed this patch, which should lower his playrate drastically, it's MSI Patch after all so Riot wants to have some diversity. That being said, Ahri is still gonna remain best pick since she has a lot of carry and utility potential.
Sol has been borderline OP for a while now and with his priority continuing to rise, it's no surprise that he's still at the Top. ASol is just an easy bet for late game as you don't need to be the best player on him to make him work.

We have some ADC's getting changed, mainly being buffed, but it's nothing too big to the point of taking over the Top spot from Kog or Jinx. Kog loves the shift in meta since Maokai is not the most played Support anymore and instead we got enchanters which Kog absolutely loves.
Same thing goes to Jinx, enchanters with Jinx are a great combo since Jinx is one of the biggest Hypercarries in the game, so any added bonus is amazing on her.

We only got a change to Thresh for this patch so the tier list is going to remain the same. With enchanters being more prevalent, Blitz is a safe pick to destroy them completely.
Rakan is a solid champion for any type of scenario. He can be a peeler, an engager or a disengager. He isn't necessarily OP but the amount of utility he provides is essential.
