Ether tempo Nidoking (thats why 2:1 starter) or build up Nidoqueen. You can Sacrifice 1 of the Starters and revive it later. With rare Candy Nidoking is setup fast on bench on Nidoran (fem) start. Town elder allows us to sac even 1 stage 1 evolution because we have 4 ways for 3 stage 2.

With red and 1 Nidoking Nidoqueen can already hit very big allowing us to even kill various ex (+red)
