Deck Overall Strategy
💎 Core Gameplay:
- Start with Manaphy as your active to provide free energy for Wiglett and Palkia.
- Evolve Wiglett into Wugtrio and move it to the active spot (using X Speed, a Manaphy KO, or Manaphy Retreat).
- Attack with Wugtrio while charging up Palkia in the back in case you need its 150-damage attack later.
🟢 Pros:
- Early Game: Wugtrio can deal big damage fast (140), knocking out key Pokémon early.
- Late Game: A fully charged Palkia + Red can one-shot most opponents while Wugtrio softens them up early.
- Coin Flipper: Misty boosts setup speed— if lucky, you win by turn 2, otherwise by turn 8 😎
🔴 Cons:
- Rough Starts: Bad opening hands with Palkia or Wiglett can slow you down. You’ll need Misty Luck or PokéBall, Professor, or Communication to dig for Manaphy fast.
- Late Game Risk: If opponents survive late, Palkia’s only have a single one-shot opportunity. If it’s not enough, you’re likely doomed.
- Low HP Targets: Wugtrio (140 HP) and Manaphy (50 HP) are easy prizes—watch out for decks that target them.
✨ Key Insights:
- Use Misty to accelerate your setup—ideally powering Palkia or Wugtrio if it’s active early.
- PokéBall, Communication, and Professor are your tools to hit the ideal setup fast.
- Cyrus shines once Wugtrio has spread damage and Palkia is ready—great for closing games.
- Red pairs well with Wugtrio when facing multiple EX Pokémon to multiply damage.
- Equip Giant Capes to Wugtrio and Palkia to push past 150 HP, or Manaphy to deal with early damage dealers.
- Decide whether to let Manaphy die early or save it with X Speed/Irida. If saved, sometimes it’s better to let Wugtrio fall and let Palkia finish strong.
