Vanguard Marksman Aphelios & Xayah

Gameplan:

With the Buffs in 14.6 you want to always play around 6 Vanguards with Xayah and Aphelios. Aphelios needs to have Rageblade and Krakens Fury which allows him to scale. Itemprio: Aphelios & Leona > Xayah. Garen is your Level 9 with Vanguard Emblem or Mod. Aurora or Zac can work too. Little Buddies is broken in this comp.

You want to play Marksman Vanguard when you have an strong opener with ad items. This comp does not cap very high after Level 8 and is very expensive with 3 4 Cost Units and 2 3 Costs at Level 8. This means you want to winstreak with an Item Augment or have an Gold/XP Augment when your contested. Keep in mind you want to have Xayah, Aphelios and Leona itemized on Stage 4. In Stage 5 this board will fall off if you do not have 2 good combat Augments or Garen with Vanguard Mod and Items.

Your best opener plays around Vanguards and Rapidfire Units or Marksman Units (Kog & Skarner + Kindred + Jarvan/Braum/Sylas/Leo). Kog itemholds for Aphelios. He is very strong with Krakens Fury together with Rageblade when you have a strong Frontline. On Level 5, 6 and 7 you want to add more Vanguards because you want the Item Krakens Fury to scale up so Kog can deal alot Damage.. On Level 8 on 4-1 or 4-2 you want to roll deep for Leona, Xayah and Aphelios to stabilize otherwise you will bleed out quick. You want to have atleast Leona2 and either Xayah2 or Aphelios2. Your best Unit to add on Level 9 is Garen or Zac. Both can outscale many Boards. Zac1 with 23 Blobs has the same amount of HP as if he is 2*. Garen is very strong with Vanguard Mod since he gets he shield everytime he casts. Vanguard Mod = Garen, Golden Ox Mod = Xayah, Anima Squad Mod = Aphelios. Against Zed or any Boards which can kill your Backline quick, you can Vanguard Mod Xayah & Aphelios.

Marksman get alot of AD from her Trait. Since Vanguards provide a long lasting Frontline you want Krakens Fury together with Rageblade on Aphelios. Krakens Fury will scale up alot in 6 Vanguards. His 3rd best Item is Hextech Gunblade which provides healing for your Vanguards. Xayah wants infinity Edge and Strikers Flail her next best Item is either Hand of Justice, Giant-Slayer or Last-Whisper if you dont have Evenshroud on Leona. Leonas best Item is Warmogs with some Armor- or Magic Resistances Items like Dragonclaw, Bramble Vest, Protectors Vow or Gargoyles depending on what damagetype your Lobby is playing around. In 14.7 most Boards play around AD Damage. Leo gets Durability from beeing a Vanguard. She holds Evenshroud very well if you do not have Last-Whisper on Xayah. You can swap Sunfire & Evenshroud from Leona onto Jarvan if you have real Tank Items for her.

You always want your main damagedealer which are aphelios and xayah to benefit from your armorpen coming from Evenshroud or Last-Whisper. Jarvan should be placed right under Leona infront of your ad carrys because he applies flat armorpen too.

Your winout options are multiple strong Combat Augments like Little Buddies or Immovable Object, itemized Vanguard Mod Garen2, Zac2 with many Blobs, itemized Braum3 or itemized Jarvan3 if you naturaled alot before your rolldown and your strong in health + eco. Aphelios3, Xayah3 or Leona3 are winout options too but hard to hit..

If you find yourself in a Spot where you only have Items for only 1 Tank & 1 Damagedealer you can pivot out of Marksman into Anima Squad if you hold Units in Stage 3 but dont sacrifice your eco. You can also pivot into 4 Dynamo 4 vanguards with Sylas Leona Jhin.

With a Vanguard Emblem you go for 6 Vanguards with Aphelios and Xayah. Zac or Garen are the best Vanguard- Emblemholder.

With a Marksman Emblem you can play into 4 Marksman 4 Vanguards with MIss Fortune holding the Emblem.

Encounter :

High Resource Encounter (Items & Gold) Scuddle Puddle or Crab Rave, Component Anvil are helpful because you need lots of Gold and Items on Level 8.

Augments:

Usually you want to take 1 Item Augment at 2-1 to winstreak and 2 Combat to compete against higher cap boards. You only take a Gold/XP Augment if your contested or its a low resource Portal which means your broke.
