Karthus Akali: The Strongest Level 8 Board

In a meta where fast 9 is everything, sometimes you have to be that player stabilizing on level 8. This is the strongest level 8 comp in the game, with the pair of Karthus and Akali being incredible at taking down 1 starred backline units.

Play around Superfan opener ideally, Senna is an amazing item holder. Other item holders can be Annie or Vex, with Akali items going on Gnar (just make sure to hold an extra copy for later), or a Mosher like Urgot.

Continue to build around the Superfans. You can get Pentakill in, but KDA is often stronger. You can add Mordekaiser to make the pivot later easier.

Combat augments are insanely strong in this comp because it caps out so well on 8. If you fight weaker level 9 players who took econ augments, you can often win by one shotting their 1 starred carry and with your advantage in combat augments.
