notes - you do not want to build atk on his artefacts. Bennett's burst buff only skales with his base atk, artefacts don't impact that. only his level and weapon base atk does.

"should I actually c6 my Bennett?"
absolutely! the only characters that would be negatively impacted by c6 Bennett don't want to use him (for example, Eula and Ayaka). otherwise, c6 Bennett either doesn't matter for your main dps or it directly buffs them.
