Kinich

Kinich is the newest Natlan Dendro 5-Star (as of writing in 5.1) and is already dealing surprisingly high damage. He is a Dendro Claymore Main DPS. Here I will explain his kit, how to play him, and his best weapons and teams.

Normal Attack

Normal Attack Explanation

Normal Attack: 3 Swings of his Claymore. He can also do 1 Normal Attack after the Grapple Movement variant of his Elemental Skill. Charged Attack: Kinich will spinning throw his Claymore (Similar to Navia's 3rd Normal Attack) Plunging Attack: Kinich will deal damage in a small Area when he hits the ground.

Elemental Skill

Elemental Skill Explanation

Movement Variant: If there are no enemies nearby, he will grapple forwards and be able to do 1 Normal Attack like a Yumkasaur. This skill variant can be held to aim it, can be used in the air and while gliding, and will have 60% less cooldown than the Damage Variant. This skill can also be used to grapple to the Grapple Points around Natlan that Yumkasaurs grapple onto. Damage Variant: When you press his skill, Kinich will hook onto the nearest enemy and enter his Nightsoul Blessing state, which lasts 10 seconds. He will run around the enemy in a circle, and can shoot 'Loop Shots' (small hits of dendro damage) by pressing Normal Attack. These will count as Elemental Skill damage. When Kinich's Nightsoul Points reach 20, he will be able to fire a 'Scalespiker Cannon' shot (a large hit of Dendro damage - 1200% of ATK at Talent Level 10!!) by pressing Elemental Skill, and can continue to do this until his skill runs out. The 'Scalsspiker cannon' shot can be held to aim.

How to generate Nightsoul Points:

  • Kinich will generate 2 Nightsoul Points every second he is in his Nightsoul State
  • Every 'Loop shot' gives you 3 Nightsoul Points
  • Stepping into a 'Blind Spot' (Glowing green pixelated highlighted area around the opponent you are hooked onto) will give you 4 Nightsoul Points
  • Triggering, or hitting an enemy already affected by, Burning or Burgeon gives you 8 Nightsoul Points

You will be able to see visually how many Nightsoul Points he has, using the Green Pixelated Bar to the left of him during his Nightsoul State, similar to a Stamina Bar. There will be a 3 second countdown above Kinich's Head for when his Nightsoul State will end.

Elemental Burst

Elemental Burst Explanation

Elemental Burst: Summons Ajaw (The small yellow dragon with attitude) to shoot lasers down and deal Dendro Damage. When you use Kinich's Elemental Burst during his Nightsoul State, it will extend his Nightsoul State by 1.7 Seconds (the length of his Elemental Burst's animation) so he will not lose any of his Elemental Skill's uptime.
