Team Building Tips
Xingqui is a very versatile character when it comes to team building.
He can be used;
- in National Teams variants alongside Xiangling and Bennett.
- in Dendro-related teams (Hyperbloom and Nilou Bloom).
- to enable onfield pyro characters in Vaporize teams.
- in freeze teams.
All Xingqui needs in terms of teambuilding is a character that can use normal attacks so his Burst can attack enemies. He provides high offield damage and plenty of hydro application, supplemented by the supportive utility in interruption resistance and a bit of healing. The teams listed are archetypes that Xingqui works well in and they can be adjusted with different characters. He is very flexible so there are many characters not listed that Xingqui can work well with.
Rotations & Gameplay Tips
Use Xingqui's skill and then his Burst at the start of rotations as;
- his Burst has a long duration
- his Elemental Skill and Burst have a long cooldown
- his Burst doesn't "snapshot" buffs
Final Thoughts
Xingqui, for obvious reasons, is one of the best 4-star characters in the game. He provides so much damage and hydro application from offield which allows him to work effectively in a variety of teams. Despite him having parallels to Yelan, who is often regarded as a 5-star version of Xingqui, he still holds his own against Yelan. Although Yelan may provide more personal damage and a higher investment ceiling, Xingqui provides better hydro application and defensive utility. He also works great with Yelan so building them both is a great idea.
