Win Conditions
- Keep an eye on your ammo and what weapon you’re holding. Don’t get caught out with the wrong weapon in a trade!
- When laning against a melee champion, switch W to Severum when they engage. The bonus movement speed and rapid-fire from your main and side weapons will focus the nearest champion while you retreat.
- Hitting level 2 first is key on Aphelios. To hit level 2, you need to kill the first 9 minions in the bottom lane. When you’re level 2, you could look to engage and go for a favourable trade.
Weak Against
- Kog'Maw: Kog'Maw's W allows him to trade effectively with Aphelios by extending his attack range, making it difficult for Aphelios to safely engage or trade back.
- Twitch: Twitch's passive can stack up over time, and when activated, it provides significant bonus damage. In an extended trade, this can be a problem for Aphelios, who relies on short burst trades.
- Ziggs: Ziggs has long-range poke and area denial with his abilities, which can zone Aphelios effectively, making it challenging for Aphelios to get in close and engage.

Strong Against
- Lucian: Aphelios can out-range Lucian, and his weapons offer various utility, including crowd control. In a controlled trade, Aphelios can outdamage Lucian and use his crowd control to prevent Lucian's all-ins.
- Yasuo: Aphelios can punish Yasuo's aggressive dashes with well-timed crowd control from his weapons. Yasuo's Wind Wall can block some of Aphelios' projectiles, but Aphelios has enough versatility to work around it and keep Yasuo at a distance.
- Kai'Sa: Aphelios can out-range Kai'Sa and has access to crowd control and zoning effects. His ability to engage from a distance can disrupt Kai'Sa's all-in attempts, giving him an advantage in laning trades.

- Early Game: In the early game, Aphelios should focus on farming and trading efficiently with his Severum (Q) and Calibrum (R) weapons. Coordinate with your support to capitalize on your Gravitum (W) crowd control and look for opportunities to engage when enemies are out of position, making the most of your weapon rotation.
- Mid Game: During the mid game, Aphelios gains access to more powerful weapons. Utilize Chakram (Q) and Crescendum (R) for team fights, focusing on positioning and maximizing your DPS. Participate in skirmishes, secure objectives, and be mindful of your weapon cycle, adapting your playstyle based on the available weapons.
- Late Game: In the late game, Aphelios becomes a hypercarry. Stay protected in team fights, positioning yourself carefully to unleash devastating damage with your superior items and fully unlocked weapon combinations. Communicate with your team for peel and engage, and prioritize high-value targets while maintaining a safe distance, ensuring you remain a significant threat until the end of the game.
