Grasp is great for Mundo's tanky nature, especially considering he can stack it easily too.

Win Conditions

  • Use your Q to farm with when you’re in unfavourable matchups. Execute the minion to get the full cost back.
  • Auto-attack the enemy first before activating your E for extra damage. Your E is an auto-attack reset, so try to always auto beforehand.
  • Pop your Ultimate R as soon as you know you’re in for the long run as it will save your life. The later you leave it, the less effective it may be and you might die before it helps you.

Weak Against

  • Warwick: Warwick's consistent damage output and healing abilities can make it challenging for Dr. Mundo to sustain through the laning phase. Warwick's crowd control and dueling power can prevent Mundo from effectively regenerating his health with his R.
  • Trundle: Trundle's R ability steals a percentage of Dr. Mundo's bonus health, reducing his tankiness significantly. This makes Dr. Mundo less effective as the game progresses and negatively impacts his ability to trade with Trundle.
  • Olaf: Olaf's early-game dueling and aggressive playstyle can be problematic for Dr. Mundo. Olaf's Q provides strong poke and slows Mundo, and his R ability makes him immune to Mundo's crowd control effects and increases his attack speed and lifesteal.

Strong Against

  • Kennen: Dr. Mundo's high health regeneration can mitigate the poke and damage output from Kennen. Kennen's crowd control relies on the control of the early game, but Mundo's sustainability can make it difficult for Kennen to take him down.
  • Pantheon: Dr. Mundo's natural tankiness and sustain can make it hard for Pantheon's early-game burst damage to secure kills. Dr. Mundo can often outsustain Pantheon's harass and force him into a more passive position.
  • Poppy: Poppy excels at disrupting opponents with her crowd control and terrain-based abilities. However, Dr. Mundo's high base health and health regeneration can help him withstand Poppy's harassment and trade effectively against her.

Game Strategy

  • Early Game: In the early game, Dr. Mundo should focus on farming and sustaining through trades with his health regeneration. Use your Q to poke enemies and set up ganks, and play defensively if facing aggressive opponents, relying on your natural tankiness to survive.
  • Mid Game: During the mid game, Dr. Mundo becomes a durable frontline for his team. Engage fights with your E and Cleavers, disrupting the enemy backline and soaking up damage for your team. Split push if your Teleport is up, and participate in team fights with your ultimate providing significant health regeneration.
  • Late Game: In the late game, Dr. Mundo excels as a beefy disruptor. Focus on initiating fights, soaking up damage, and zoning enemies from your carries. Use your ultimate strategically to sustain through extended team fights, and be the frontline presence your team needs. Prioritize objectives like Baron and Elder Dragon, using your tankiness to absorb damage and create opportunities for your team to secure game-changing buffs.
