Win Conditions
- Make good use of your W by allowing them to scout vision for you around objectives like the Baron or Dragon.
- Use your Ultimate to engage or collapse on enemies who are caught out of position. Don’t be afraid to use your Ultimate to save your Support.
- Refrain from using your E until you’re finished with the exchange as you may miss out on extra Rend E stacks which would come in handy.
Weak Against
- Nilah: Very hard matchup, she will press W, get on your face and you can't do much about that. Make sure to keep a distance.
- Jinx: Jinx has a very long range and safe tools to run away from you. Try dodging the E and W and you should be good.
- Jhin: Jhin will try playing from afar. He will CC you with his W and then just out-trade you with his fourth shot or ultimate. Only go for all ins.
Strong Against
- Zeri: Zeri doesn't have a burst per se, she will try to mostly go for long trades and your long trades are better.
- Lucian: Lucian doesn't have a lot of damage early game, so you can take advantage of that.
- Ezreal: It's all about him running away with his E, if you are able to take that ability from him you can just kill him afterwards.
Game Strategy
- Early Game: In the early game as Kalista, prioritize last-hitting minions and using your Martial Poise (Passive) to stack your Rend (E) ability on enemies for harassment. Coordinate engages with your support using Rend to secure kills when enemies are low.
- Mid Game: During the mid game, focus on building core items like Blade of the Ruined King. Leverage your mobility with Rend resets and Rend to secure objectives, assist in skirmishes, and secure kills. Keep an eye on your Oathsworn's positioning (typically your support) to maximize your Rend's potential in fights.
- Late Game: In the late game, Kalista's strength lies in her kiting and objective control. Keep a safe distance in team fights, continuously use Pierce (Q) and Rend (E) to whittle down opponents, and use Fate's Call (R) for engage, peel, or to save an ally from danger. Secure Baron and Dragon with Rend smite, and remember to use Fate's Call strategically in crucial fights.
