Win Conditions
- Get level 6 as quickly as possible so you’re able to dominate and take over the map.
- Reactively use your R to counter dives or ganks during the early game.
- Proactively look to take down players who are pushed up without Summoner Spells split pushing in the side lane.
Weak Against
- Rammus: Rammus is a tanky jungler with high armor and his W ability, which reflects basic attack damage. Since Nocturne relies on auto-attacks for damage, Rammus is a great counter.
- Lillia: Lillia has strong early-game damage and crowd control with her abilities. Her ability to kite and poke Nocturne from range can put him at a disadvantage in trades.
- Graves: Graves has significant burst damage and the ability to kite Nocturne effectively. His E allows him to dash away from Nocturne's abilities, avoiding much of Nocturne's damage.
Strong Against
- Rengar: Nocturne's spell shield from his W ability can block Rengar's crowd control, making it difficult for Rengar to lock him down and burst him.
- Lee Sin: Nocturne's spell shield can block Lee Sin's crowd control, particularly his Q ability. Lee Sin relies on landing skill shots to engage, and Nocturne's spell shield can negate this threat.
- Nidalee: Nocturne's ability to engage with his ultimate, Paranoia, can catch Nidalee off-guard in the jungle, where she excels at kiting and poking.
Game Strategy
- Early Game: In the early game, focus on farming your jungle and avoid aggressive invades. Nocturne excels at dueling, but the outcome depends on the matchup. Nocturne has power spikes at level 6 and when he completes key items like Stridebrekaer. At level 6, his Paranoia ultimate enables him to make impactful cross-map plays.
- Mid Game: If you find yourself in a side lane, split-push to apply pressure. Nocturne's dueling strength can make him a formidable split-pusher. Nocturne can dive effectively post-level 6 with his ultimate. Coordinate with your team, and ensure that you have vision to make informed dives.
- Late Game: In late-game teamfights, your role is to assassinate high-priority targets, like enemy carries. Use Paranoia to create chaos and pick off key threats. Secure Baron Nashor and Elder Dragon with your team. These objectives can swing the game heavily in your favor.
