Why?
- Rengar has been a huge winner for season 14 due to all the new lethality item additions. He's loving all them right now and the core build is completely different from Season 13. Voltaic is just way too good on Rengar to pass up early on, the passive works so that you gain an energized attack and while dashing or stealthing that energized attack is refreshed faster, when Rengar is jumping with his passive he's able to recharge the energized proc extremely fast and output insane DPS.
- Currently the best performing two item core on Rengar has him going Voltaic into Profane Hydra second. Now, what you can do is rush a Tiamat but don't complete Profane Hydra, sit on that Tiamat to help with your early clear but then go straight into Voltaic Cyclosword, the earlier you can pick up Voltaic the better because its passive damage proc is a flat 100 no matter what level you are.
- This means the later games go the less you'll notice that bonus damage so it's really an early game snowball pickup. Opportunity is the third item to round out the core.
