How to play Riftbound (League of Legends TCG)

If you're ready to dive into Riftbound, the League of Legends TCG, and want to play online using Pixelborn, this guide will walk you through the full setup process — fast, easy, and beginner-friendly. Whether you’ve used Pixelborn before or you’re completely new, here's everything you need to get started.

To start, you need the correct client specifically for Riftbound. Even if you’ve used Pixelborn for other TCGs, this is a separate install.

Go to the official Google Drive link shared in the community (available in their Discord or trusted community channels) or check here

Download the Riftbound Pixelborn build and the matching engine key.

Extract the files using a tool like 7zip.

Open the extracted folder and launch Pixelborn.exe.

💡 Pro Tip: Pixelborn is not affiliated with Riot Games, so everything here is community-supported.

If you've used Pixelborn before, you can log in with your existing credentials. New players can quickly create an account from the login screen.

To see all the card art and visuals:

1. Click the Settings icon in the upper-right corner.
2. In the field provided, paste the image link (available in Discord or trusted guides).
3. Hit Update.
4. Once finished, restart Pixelborn.
5. Click on Cards to verify all visuals are installed.

Click on the New Deck tab to start building:

• Use filters to sort by Legends, Battlefields, and more.
• You can add cards manually or browse community decklists from third-party websites.
• An import deck feature exists, but it may not be fully supported yet.

Once you’ve built your deck, save it and you’re good to go.

Click Play, then select Lab mode (ranked ladder is coming after full card reveals).

Online matchmaking is live, so you’ll be paired with real players.
