What is the role of Attackers?
Attackers in Pokémon Unite come in various forms. You have your standard mage Pokémon like Gardevoir, Delphox, and Cramorant, but also marksmen Pokémon like Inteleon, Cinderace, and Mewtwo Y. The role of Attackers is to deal heavy damage while maintaining distance. However, if this distance is closed, they can get caught out easily due to most Attackers' low defensive stats.

Mages v. Marksmen
Mages hit hard with big burst damage, usually all at once. Their strength mainly comes from their high Special Attack stats, so their moves tend to do much damage fast. Additionally, mages have great cooldown management due to their tremendous scaling in cooldown reduction.
Marksmen, on the other hand, rely on basic attacks for most of their damage. They usually build items that boost attack speed, which helps them dish out steady damage over time. This works well with their naturally high attack speed stats, making them great at constant pressure in fights. Additionally, marksmen have high levels of sustain through lifesteal.
Micro v. Macro
What is Micro?
Micro is essentially knowing the functions and interactions of a character you are playing. This also includes which move sets to go against certain teams.
i.e., Knowing the best move switch on Mew for each team fight.
What is Macro?
Macro is the big-picture strategy about how the team wins the game.
i.e., Rotating top lane at 9:05 on Espeon to help your top laner get ahead.
Positioning
Knowing where you should be in team fights is key to winning the game. If you are running a poke build on your attackers, it is better to be in the back, where you can still reach the enemy team. Marksmen should be positioned at off-angles (spots where you are still in line of sight with your team, but at a slight flank) to apply pressure and to draw focus.
BUSHES AND CHOKES
NEVER walk into bushes or chokes without checking them with non-sure-hit abilities or without your tank checking them. Some moves have sound indicators if you hit them.
i.e., Gardevoir throwing Psyshock into a bush and you hear a loud clud sound.
Choke points are tight areas that you HAVE to pass through to make progress.
Choke Points, Off-Angles, and Flanks
Dive Comps and Draft Pick
Dive comps usually consist of Speedsters and All Rounders. Dive is a playstyle that has a very high skill ceiling and can be very rewarding if played correctly. Diving can be VERY detrimental to attackers. Dive heroes utilize flank routes a lot, so it is important to watch your back.
