This deck centers around a Darkness-type strategy, leveraging the synergy between Weezing's 'Gas Leak' ability and Weavile ex's 'Scratching Nails' attack. The key is to get Weezing into the Active Spot early to poison the opponent's Active Pokémon, setting up for Weavile ex to deal increased damage. Darkrai ex can contribute consistent damage with 'Dark Prism' while benefiting from 'Nightmare Aura' to chip away at the opponent when attaching Darkness energy. Use Koga to cycle Weezing back to your hand if needed, and Giovanni to boost overall damage output. Early game, focus on evolving Koffing into Weezing and setting up Sneasel into Weavile ex, while managing energy distribution with Dawn's effect.
Ideal start is Weezing. Poison and recyle with Koga if you get it or get either Darkrai or Weavile from the bench. Both synergize with Weezing's ability. There is a little trick with Dawn, Darkrai in the bench and your active pokémon but hard to pull it off. Sometimes you can get rid of an opponent pokémon early by placing an energy on Darkrai, thus activating its ability for 20 damage and then transfer that energy to your active pokémon for an attack. Works with both Weezing or Weavile since they only require 1 energy.
