How to play the deck?
Early Game: Disrupt, Don’t Engage
- Start with Darkrai as your primary attacker. Use its ability to "ping" damage onto opponents from a safe distance. Focus on softening up threats while keeping pressure on.
- Play Red Card early to knock down your opponent’s hand to just 3 cards—crippling aggressive openers and evolution setups.
- If you draw Mars, play it aggressively to force them to reshuffle and redraw only 1–2 cards depending on their prize lead. This punishes them even more the closer they are to victory.
Mid Game: Selective Elimination
- Transition into Giratina once your opponent begins setting up stronger Pokémon. Its high base damage combined with chip damage from earlier pings often hits key thresholds.
- Use Sabrina to drag out benched threats your opponent is hiding—often support Pokémon or high-value attackers not yet ready.
- If you’ve softened up a Pokémon with Red Card or pings, use Cyrus to finish the job. Cyrus lets you snipe damaged Pokémon on the bench, bypassing active blockers.
End Game: Lock and Clean Up
- By now, your opponent will be out of hand resources and potentially missing key Pokémon or Energy attachments.
- Use your control tools to prevent their rebuild. Recycle disruption with draw supporters or search cards.
- Finish the game by eliminating their last key threats using Darkrai’s targeted damage, Giratina’s raw output, or a combination.
