I'm You but Better.
Crabominable EX is Exeggutor without all the bullsh*t. THIS is an early game tank ladies and gentlemen. With a top tier HP stat for a stage 1 evolution, Insatiable Striking deals 40 damage for one energy on the first attack, and then will double up to 80 for the rest. No coin flips, all Crabominable needs to do is stay in the front line. Back in my day, grass types were the face of bulky offense, having access to Exeggutor EX and the queen of healing. The card pool has expanded though, and water types got Irida. Crabominable is not only a more reliable version of Exeggutor EX, he’s also got the right cards to support him.
Today’s deck combines an all mighty early game tank, who punches through the opponent’s lead, with a powerful sweeper who will make it rain to end the game. The gameplan is simple, send Crabominable to the front, smash, smash again, and again, until you can smash no more, bring Wugtrio in and Pop out Throughout to clear the board. Insatiable Striking and Pop Out Throughout require a total of 4 energy in total, combining these 2 EX Pokemon leads to a powerful offense that's very energy efficient, forcing our opponents to power through a duo that’s also super resilient. A full set of Irida, Potion and Giant Cape enhances our durability to make sure we not only shrug off early game swings, but also stay outside of one hit KO range. Running so much healing also enables us to counter Cyrus, which can be particularly annoying for Crabominable as his attack boost will be nullified if he’s swapped out to the bench.
What about Oricorio though? This guy’s getting pretty popular. It’s ok, Crabrawler will save the day. Being a fighting type, we can punch the stupid bird for super effective damage, threatening to 2 hit KO it.
This deck may not be as flashy as some of the combos running around, yet it provides us with a reliable bulky offense that can take on pretty much anything. Bonk them again and again, once they’re weak… have Wuggie make it rain.
