Introduction

Nemesis, the Goddess of Retribution, brings swift and vengeful justice to the battlefield. Known for her balance of offense and defense, Nemesis can strip power from her enemies and turn it against them. With a versatile kit that mixes mobility, crowd control, and survivability, Nemesis is a force to be reckoned with and thrives in dueling scenarios where she can capitalize on her opponent’s weaknesses.

God Lore

Of arrogance and pride, the Greeks have but one word: hubris. It is a crime against Gods and Men, but a crime many commit with impunity. Even mighty Zeus is guilty. But when punishment is due, there is one from whom even the God of Thunder shrinks. She is Nemesis, the red-washed blade of Divine Retribution. Recall the tale of Narcissus, so taken by his own beauty. Proudly, his visage was flaunted, to the detriment of all. Until, at last, he was led to a pond of crystal hue where his own reflection enraptured him. So long did he remain to gaze upon this self-image that hunger claimed his life. Thus does Nemesis respond to hubris. It is consequence equal to the crime. Now, behold the war torn land, beset by the wrath of wanton Gods filling the air with blood and boasts. This battlefield is stained with hubris. Unwittingly, these foolish warriors have summoned their greatest adversary. Nemesis has come! No longer will foul deeds engender success, no hoard of wealth held in undeserving hands, no legends told when falsely earned. Nemesis will unleash a tide of retribution. Punishment for the crime of hubris is death.

Why Play Nemesis?

Nemesis is perfect for players who enjoy adaptable melee fighters with a mix of burst damage, defensive capabilities, and utility. Her ability to weaken enemies while boosting her own stats with Scales of Fate makes her a great counter to high-power gods. With Swift Vengeance, she can dash in and out of fights, and Retribution lets her tank incoming damage, making her a resilient skirmisher who can adapt to different situations. Her ultimate, Divine Judgement, allows her to shut down high-priority targets by stripping protections and stealing movement speed, making her invaluable in team fights.

Strengths and Weaknesses Nemesis

  1. Strengths
  • Stat-Stealing Passive: Scales of Fate weakens enemies and boosts Nemesis’s own power, making her stronger as fights progress.
  • High Mobility: Swift Vengeance gives Nemesis two dashes, allowing for quick engagement and disengagement.
  • Sustained Defense: Retribution reflects damage back at attackers while granting a shield and healing, providing excellent survivability.
  • Single-Target Focus: Divine Judgement allows her to neutralize powerful enemies, stealing protections and movement speed to secure kills.
  • Versatile in Fights: With both strong offense and defense, Nemesis can adapt to different combat situations and is effective against both squishy and tanky foes.
  1. Weaknesses
  • Reliant on Positioning: Swift Vengeance is essential for both mobility and offense, so misusing it can leave Nemesis vulnerable.
  • Limited Crowd Control: Her kit lacks hard CC outside of the slow on Slice and Dice, requiring her to rely on raw damage and survivability.
  • Skill-Dependent: To maximize Slice and Dice damage, precise aiming is needed to hit the cone’s center for extra damage.
  • Vulnerable to High Burst Damage: Although Retribution provides a shield, it has a limited duration, making Nemesis vulnerable to high burst if her timing is off.
