Special Maps: The Case of "Champion Conference"
This map, which grants you a unit suited to your board at the beginning of each stage, strengthens this composition as it guarantees you'll get Briar (or smolder) to solidify your comp early in Stage 5. It also helps you reliably reach the 4 and then 6 Shapeshifter milestones.
Lastly, this map ensures you'll hit 8 Shapeshifters no later than Stage 5.
Varus isn’t as important as you might think !
If you don't have items for Varus, don't stress about playing him just for the Blaster synergy with Smolder. The most important thing is to focus on your 6 Shapeshifters + 3 Dragons with Shyvana items, followed by gearing up Smolder and Briar. Varus often just serves as a synergy bot, and he can easily be replaced by Milio if you have a Shojin to give items to key characters or to Shapeshifters with 4K+ HP.
