Bastion Aphelios Guide

The best early game boards for this comp is to have a bastion frontline with poppy and maokai, and then an item carrier that can use rageblade well. A great opener is 3 demacia with Kayle carry, where you want the Poppy or Galio to be the Elite unit with the radiant item. Another good opener is Viego as the item carrier with rouges. As well as Jhin with deadeyes, and Samira with challengers.

Once we have found our comp we need to make items. But with this comp Aphelios is heavily item dependant, so we cannot make any items that use up bow or rod unless we are building rageblade. Therefore a common strategy with this comp is to loss streak in the early game for better carousel priority so they can get to double rageblade a lot faster. But winstreaking works just fine too with this comp.

If you are weak in the mid-game, you can roll at either level 6 or 7 to stabalize. If you decide to roll at level 6, this should be done on stage 3-2. The ideal scenario is to stablize off Kalista carry.

If you decide to roll at level 7, you will look to go level 7 on either stage 3-5 or 4-1, whichever it is depends on how much HP and gold you have. You will look to stablize off aphelios 1star, with soraka and 4 bastions.

With this comp, the gameplan is to stall for as longs as possible in fights to let aphelios ramp up. The best legend to pick to achieve this goal is vladimir, this is almost entirely because of his 4-2 augment which is ascension. This augment for this comp is such a giant powerspike, as aphelios will go absolutely ham after 15 seconds. His 2-1 transfusion is also fantastic for this comp, although you can still do great without it. Another option is to pick Twisted fate as your legend. This is because the best in slot items for both Aphelios and Shen can be hard to get, as you need a lot of the same components. Therefore, picking this legend will allow you to easily get best in slot items.

Again before covering augments, if you pick vladimir as your legend you ALWAYS pick ascension as your 4-2 augments, and if you pick twisted fate you ALWAYS pick pandoras items as your first augment.

Throw standard tank items on Shen, although the ones that scale with HP are better since we already get a ton of resistences from Bastion.
