II> Strengths and weaknesses of the Exodia team composition set 5.5

  1. Strengths:
  • Easy to pivot because you only need to own multiple 5-cost champions.
  • Easily reach top 4 or higher.
  • A well-rounded team composition from tanking to damage dealing.
  1. Weaknesses:
  • This strategy requires reaching level 9 early.
  • It requires the ability to use gold wisely.
  • This team composition is quite difficult to play for beginners.

IV> Early game plan:

  • This comp plays around Invoker and other unique 5-cost units to back up your main Invoker carry Teemo or Ranger carry Akshan!
  • This comp looks to level up to 9 aggressively by stabilizing your board a little on level 8 but keeping a strong economy.
  • The top priority in the early game for the Exodia team composition is to optimize equipment pieces to both maintain health and be suitable for distribution to 5-cost champions later. Next, you need to focus on accumulating gold. You don't necessarily have to have a winning streak; ideally, a slight losing streak that doesn’t lose too much health is best.
  • The goal is to reach level 9 as early as possible, usually by round 5-1; this strategy is called 'fast 9.' Level up to 4 in round 2-2, level up to 5 in round 2-5, and level up to 6 in round 3-2.
  • Plan on this in a crazy econ situation (Heavy econ portal + Econ augment + Draconic start). 5 Draconic early is very strong.
  • Play with Draconic to integrate numbers from the Egg.

V> Mid game plan

  • If you are winstreaking, push to level 7 early to maintain streak. If you are lose streaking, maintain until Stage 4. Sell Draconics for econ.
  • The mid-game is still the time to accumulate gold and use it for leveling up. Prioritize picking Karma because she utilizes the magic power items that 5-cost champions use quite effectively. Additionally, champions like Rell are excellent choices to temporarily hold your tank items.
  • You shouldn't roll at this stage and should only use gold to level up. Typically, you’ll reach level 7 by round 3-6 and level 8 by round 4-3. The timing of leveling up depends on your augment, so adjust according to the match situation. If your opponents are at the same level, level up earlier to quickly 'snatch' high-cost champions before they do.

VI> Late game plan

  • Get to 9 and all-in for 5-costs. Gwen 1 and Heimer 1 can be stable if you have good enough frontline. Go level 10 once stable.
  • Max cap AP Legendary board that wins through AOE combos. If played correctly, you can push to level 10 and even begin rolling for 3* 5 costs (yes, you read that right). Can play multiple copies of Volibear for stuns.
  • The level 9 phase is the peak power of the Exodia strategy. Grab all the 5-cost champions you can, but prioritize the ones that are close to reaching 2 stars.
  • You can definitely use 4-cost champions if they have the potential to reach 3 stars, but if they can’t, only use Rell and Karma to activate synergies for other 5-cost champions. Exodia has many variations, but the core revolves around using high-value champions, so you can adjust the team composition based on the match situation.
  • Note: Teemo > Akshan
