Exotech is a very unique trait in TFT Set 14: Cyber City, with the ability to generate exclusive items. Throughout Set 14, Exotech comps have consistently remained strong. Most Exotech items are also highly usable.
Since you receive three Exotech items, the trait is especially strong during Stage 4, when you likely haven't completed all other core items for your team yet.
Thanks to the strength of the Exotech trait, it's easy to fight effectively even with just 1★ units. This comp aims for a win streak during Stage 4 and a solid top 2–4 finish.
At level 9, look to add champions like Aurora, Kobuko, Zac, Garen, or Viego. Slot in whichever fits best.
Link Build Guide: 7 Exotech Zeri
Items
All three Exotech items—Pulse Silencer, Fully-Charged Flux Capacitor, and Apex-Fangs—are generally strong and usable. However, Scoped Holobow is situational and should be picked with caution.
Guinsoo's Rageblade is a core item for Zeri and should be prioritized.
- Zeri
- Guinsoo's Rageblade and Kraken's Fury are Zeri's core items.
- If you don’t get a suitable Exotech item for Zeri, you can choose one of these four alternatives: Hextech Gunblade, Giant Slayer, Striker’s Flail, or Deathblade.
- Artifact Items: Flickerblade is a powerful item that can serve as a replacement for Kraken's Fury and synergizes very well with Guinsoo's Rageblade.
- If you get a suitable Exotech item for Zeri, the ideal combo is Guinsoo's Rageblade + Kraken's Fury + the Exotech item.
- Sejuani
- Hijacked Cybercoil and Nullifier Lantern are the two best Exotech items for Sejuani.
- Additionally, since the outcome of the fight heavily depends on how many times Sejuani can cast her ability, you should prioritize armor-stacking items that scale with Mana.
- Mordekaiser
- Harmonized Chassis and Crownguard make a great combination for 3-cost frontline units, offering exceptional tankiness. While Sejuani is still only 1-star, Mordekaiser will serve as your primary tank.
- Mordekaiser’s ability fully synergizes with both Harmonized Chassis and Crownguard.
- Jhin
- Scoped Holobow is the Exotech item that fits Jhin the best.
- Varus
- Morellonomicon and Red Buff make a fantastic combo, as they allow you to apply Grievous Wounds to the enemy backline.
- Thief's Gloves
- Thief's Gloves is considered equivalent to three completed items and can receive Exotech status effects.
- If you reach the 7 Exotech breakpoint, you can gain an incredible stat boost—900 bonus HP and 39% attack speed—with just two component items, making it extremely powerful.
- Equip Thief’s Gloves on one of the following units: Varus, Naffiri, or Jhin.
With Garen
- If you have the time or can reach level 9 early, adding Garen to your comp can be extremely valuable.
- Exotech items can also be equipped on units that have the Exotech Mod.
- Having these items on Garen can turn him into a powerful carry, so you should consider this option in games where you have enough time to scale.
Augments
- Since Exotech scales with the number of items, items Augment should be prioritized (Items > Combat > Eco).
- Exotech works well with the two Augments: Little Buddies and Pair of Fours.
- The Exotech Emblem is also considered a completed item, and it works well with the two Augments: Trait Tracker and Flexible.
