[Set 9] Ionia vertical

The Ionia vertical is a good composition when you have an Ionia start and Yasuo and Kai'Sa naturally come to you without forcing it. Irelia will carry the tank items until Shen, Jhin will carry the Yasuo items, and it's important that Ahri has the blue buff as a big condition for success.

• Sentinel's Spirit - While in spirit form, your Ionia units gain 20% Attack Speed and shield themselves for 15% of their maximum Health. Gain 3 Ionians.
• Ionia Crest - Gain a Ionia Emblem and a Sett.
• Know Your Enemy - After the first enemy dies each round, your units deal 25% Increased damage.
• Tons of Stats! - Your team gains 66 Health, 6% Attack Damage, 6 Ability Power, 6 Armor, 6 Magic Resist, 6% Attack Speed, and 6 Mana.

First and foremost, you will need an early game Irelia and Jhin to have a chance at a strong Ionia game. In this example, we also use Samira for the challenger, but Warwick is also great because he gives Sett the juggernaut trait. Irelia will carry all the items in this case.

In this example, we aggressively roll at level 7 since there are three powerful 4-cost units in the composition. Therefore, we have a high chance of obtaining one of these three units. It's important to keep duplicates to be able to swap items and maintain the Ionia trait.

• Warmog's Armor will provide a strong early game and enough tankiness for our carries to do the rest of the work.
• Infinity Edge will provide us with the necessary damage throughout the game.
• Morellonomicon on Kai'Sa will be a best-in-slot (BIS) item for the mid and late game.

1. It is essential to have an early Jhin and Irelia to play the vertical composition.
2. Irelia will carry tank/bruiser items until Shen/Yasuo, while Jhin will carry DPS items until Yasuo.
3. It is important to build up economy while preparing our items until reaching level 7.
4. At level 7, we want to roll to stabilize our board, prioritizing Yasuo > Kai'Sa > Shen.
5. Once stabilized, we want to focus on rebuilding our economy to reach level 8.
6. At level 8, we aim to find all our units at level 2 and try to acquire a blue buff for Ahri.
