[S-Tier] Deadeye Aphelios

How to play
This comp is more on the expensive side, so it’s hard to play from behind, as we need to hit a lot of 2star 4costs, and we also want to have 3 items on 3 different champions. This comp is really flexible with its frontline: the only 3 constants on your board should be sejuani, aphelios, and urgot. Usually you just play freljord so you can forgo building last whisper, but it can be dropped. Once again, the frontline is very flexible, but you should usually play taric, shen, and lissandra as well. You can drop 4 deadeye for stronger legendaries like Sion and Senna, as the trait really doesn’t do anything, but it’s good to play if you get +1 deadeye. Aphelios requires rageblade to be a carry; without it, I would just avoid him altogether. His other best items are just any damage items, but raw damage is best. Urgot is a drain tank that scales really well off of both AD and AP, so making 3 good items like titan’s and healing for him is how you top 2 with this comp, but other AD items are fine. Put your tank items on Sejuani, and make sure to have taric between your frontliners, as his spell blocks damage on both him and adjacent allies.
[S-Tier] Piltover Gunners

How to play
You really want to get in piltover as soon as possible to start stacking your t-hex, so I wouldn’t play piltover if you don’t hit it by stage 2-5 at the latest. You want to try to loss streak until either stage 3-5 or 4-1, so position carefully and force losses by saccing your board if necessary. Stage 3-5 is much safer, as its much easier to cash out as players usually don’t roll until stage 4-1 for their boards. Prioritize zeke’s herald in this comp, as it synergizes very well with jayce’s ability, the gunners trait, and rageblade, as it’s zeri’s best item. The other items can be any AD items, but qss is amazing to prevent jarvan and sion CC. Don’t play 4 gunner until you hit senna or have +1 gunner, and just play any 4 and 5 cost frontliners you hit, no matter the traits, but ideally jarvan and a bruiser. If you end up winning a few rounds and don’t stack your t-hex very far, usually below 30 to 40, consider cashing him out if you are losing or can’t win matchups. Don’t be scared to cash out a huge t-hex late game as well, if it’s your only chance to win against incredibly capped boards or 3-star 4 costs. Otherwise though, he’s a really strong unit and you should keep him on your board.
[A-Tier] Void Kaisa

How to play
8 Void is one of the most simple comps to play in the meta, but it’s dependent on hitting belveth which can be hard at level 8. You need a void heart or emblem to play this comp to hit baron; do not play it otherwise. If you haven’t gotten the emblem by around stage 4, just play sorcerers instead. Use URF as your legend to increase your chances of getting the void emblem, and if the portal is Placidium Library, as it will give you the void emblem automatically. Put the void emblem on Yasuo to get 2 challengers for Kai’sa. This comp is one of the few comps you should try to fast 8 with if possible, since you need to hit belveth, and the comp has really high early tempo due to how strong the void opener is. Usually, you should roll on 3-2 at level 6 for 6 void to start your winstreak, as you don’t really spike on level 7 and need to go 8. Hold items on malzahar, velkoz, or another AP carry like teemo or cassiopea. Kaisa just wants AP items, preferably scaling ones like archangel’s, and a healing item like gunblade. Throw your tank items on either Cho’gath from the early game, or put them on Bel’veth in the late game.
[A-Tier] Garen Reroll

How to play
This comp is only good if you manage to hit multiple zeke’s, as it allows garen to start ramping his attack speed quickly; without them, it’s too slow and he will not be able to drain tank and just die. Because of this, twisted fate is the best legend, as pandora’s items will allow you to force the zeke’s components easily. You should only reroll this comp on level 7, as you need garen 3 to do well. Sona is better than lux as her ult gives garen attack speed. If you hit +1 juggernaut, you can play 6 juggernaut on level 7 and put the spat on jarvan. This comp is only good from the right spot though, as without the right setup, you will just go eighth. Garen’s strict best in slot items are rageblade and bt, while titan’s is the best 3rd item, but you can replace titans with the demacia radiant item as well.
[B-Tier] Shurima Azir

How to play
The comp is pretty flexible in general, but I’d always recommend playing at least 5 shurima, as getting the ascension value on nasus and akshan is very valuable, as they both do a lot of damage. Play either cassio or Taliyah until you hit ksante, and the other units should be any frontline units like sejuani, shen, sion, or urgot. The only mandatory frontliner is jarvan. If you get a shurima spat, you should always play 7 shurima. However, it’s important to note that 7shurima has been bugged for the whole of pbe cycle, it made units ascend twice which is not intended, so it won’t be as good on live once that bug is fixed. Jarvan is usually the best holder of shurima spat, since he really benefits off the hp and sometimes gets a second cast off, which often wins you the fight. If you’re able to hit 2-star legendaries though, putting the spat on sion or aatrox if you have items for him will be a lot stronger. Itemizing nasus is surprisingly very important in this comp, as he is often the real carry of your board. You can itemize him as a standard tank with items like warmogs, spark, bramble, and dclaw, but he also works as a drain tank with titans and bloodthirster. Azir’s best items are scaling items, specifically archangel’s and rageblade, and any ap items will do otherwise. Consider itemizing akshan as well with spare items, as he does a ton of damage with 5 or more shurima, and can snipe backlines if positioned correctly. The positioning for this comp is mostly simple: put ksante in front of their strongest tank that’s not jarvan or sion, because they will dash away, and put jarvan on the same side as their carry, so that he jumps and stuns them. Besides that try to keep your own Azir safe from threats like rouges and sion, as well as CC from units like Jarvan.
