TFT Guide: Chem-Baron Payout Strategy

This is one of the most challenging strategies in Set 13, requiring precision and mastery of the lost streak approach. If executed correctly, it allows for a massive late-game power spike that can secure first place.

500+ Cashout is a guaranteed win, but if you are very low HP consider cashing out at 300 or 400. Auto-1st combos: Kogmaw with Emblem + Perfected Toxins, Silco with Perfected Shimmerbloom + Gunblade. Anomaly Priority: Perfected Shimmer item holder.

Early Game & Payout Setup

The key to success is to lose as many rounds as possible early on to quickly charge up your payout to a minimum of 500 points.

Avoid unnecessary upgrades—you want to lose rounds but keep your economy strong.
Focus on building a strong economy (interest gold) to prepare for a massive power spike.
Position weakly to ensure consistent losses while still dealing some damage to opponents.

Post-Payout Strategy – What to Do Next?

Once you cash out, your next steps depend on whether you have the Chem-Baron Emblem:

  • Equip Dr. Mundo with tank items—he becomes an unstoppable frontline.
  • Pair him with Smeech & Renni, prioritizing their 3-star versions.
  • If successful, you can play 7 Chem-Baron until the end of the game.

🔹 Without the Chem-Baron Emblem:

  • Scale down to 3 Chem-Baron and instead add powerful legendary units or strong 4-cost champions (variations 3/4/5/6 Chem-Baron.

Late Game Power Spike (Level 10 Scaling)
📌 At level 10, your priority should be adding:
Mei or Viktor—both provide huge power spikes and can turn fights in your favor.
Jayce as your main carry—offers strong damage output.
Rumble as a solid frontline to stabilize your board.

Rolling Strategy – When to Spend Gold?

Start rolling at level 8 to secure 2-star Silco and Dr. Mundo—they are core to this setup.
Elise can also be a strong addition at this stage.
✅ If you want to take a risk, you can roll at level 7 to activate Chem-Baron earlier by hitting a single Silco.

Final Board Optimization – Key Units to Consider 🗑️

💀 Dr. Mundo – Unkillable frontline (tank items required).
🔥 Jayce – Primary carry (damage items).
💪 Smeech & Renni – If possible, upgrade to 3-star versions.
Viktor/Mei – Late-game powerhouses.
🛡️ Rumble – Extra frontline for stability.

By carefully following this strategy, you can maximize your payout and dominate the late game! 💥
