FINAL COMP
This is the final comp you want to achieve if you want to claim first place. It looks similar to the "classic" Noxus reroll but it's very different to play and I'll explain every step in this guide from the early game to the late game without forgetting the best augments and Legends!
GAMEPLAN
This is the first time ever in TFT history that we have to play a 1 cost reroll comp in winstreak. Usually, the typical 1 cost reroll comp (Kayle / Tristana) requires you to lose the whole stage 2 on purpose to get as much gold as possible.
Here with Samira, winning as many fights as possible is important because Noxus doesn't allow you to play from behind.
Stage 2
- Consider playing Samira reroll if you have a Noxus Start with Swain or if you have Samira 2 with at least a good item for her
- Do not level up because you still need to be low level to find Samira 3
- Position Samira and Cassiopeia close to each other (see early game board below) to kill targets fast
- Build at least one defensive item on Swain to win most early fights
Stage 3
- Roll down to 30g at lvl 4 (stage 3-1) to have increased chances of finding Samira
- You can roll for Cassiopeia 3 if it's easy to find AND you have items for her
- At lvl 5, wait to get back to 50g before slow rolling for Samira 3
Stage 4
- If at stage 4-1 you still haven't found Samira 3, you need to roll down until you find her
- Once you find Samira 3, invest your gold into exp to play with 6 Noxus
- Get back your econ thanks to a great win streak and push lvl 7
Stage 5
- Based on your items, augments and health and if you didn't decide to play Cassiopeia as your 2nd carry you can decide to either roll for Darius 3, Katarina 3 or push level 9 to play legendary units next to Samira (Aatrox, Heimerdinger, Ahri, Belveth, Sion, etc)
EARLY GAME (Board lvl 5)
It's capital to have at least a tank item on Swain to win the early game. This unit will single-handedly make you win fights even if you have Samira 1 star behind.
MID GAME (Board lvl 7)
When you reach lvl 7 after finding Samira 3 it's the moment to assess who will be your secondary carry to help you win late-game fights. For instance, if you already have Darius 2 with potential good items, try to make Darius 3. Same for Katarina. And if none of these two are easy to find or stuff, then try to rush the level 9 and add legendary units like Aatrox, Heimerdinger, Sion, Ahri, etc
Darius 2 can hold items for Aatrox, Katarina 2 can hold items for Ahri
LEGEND
Ornn is the best Legend to play this comp. It helps you find strong items during the early game to snowball stage 2, as you should.
Items like Collector (Samira), Anima visage (Swain), and Eternal Winter (Swain) will help you have an insane early game. Also the other augments help you find more items to stuff your secondary carries, like Darius or Katarina.
You can see the item tier list below for the Ornn items.
ITEMS
Additional comments:
- Mana generation helps Samira spam cast her ability and this is very valuable as the last change allows her to be more accurate and fast with her ability.
- Guardbreaker and Hand of Justice are only B tier but if you can crit thanks to Jeweled Lotus or Infinity Edge then they become A tier
- Infinity Edge and Giant Slayer are S tier because Samira already has a lot of AD thanks to 6 Noxus, so it's best to amplify this damage (with crit or GS) rather adding more damage (like Deathblade)
- Deathfire Grasp and Manazane are actually A Tier IF you decide to play the Cassio 3 as a side carry
AUGMENTS
If you want to win with Samira reroll you also need to have great augments.
Comments:
- The best augments you can get at stage 2-1 is A Cut Above or All That Shimmers that give both a great item to snowball but also more money.
- With 6 Noxus you have a lot of health and offensive stats, anything that can amplify it and share it (Jeweled Lotus, Long Distance Pals) is a great augment
- Having +1 Noxus is extremely valuable
MISTAKES TO AVOID
Here are couple of mistakes to avoid if you want to have success with this comp:
- Playing this comp without a strong start: you really need to win stage 2 fights
- Spending too much time rerolling for Cassiopeia: Cassiopeia can be a relying secondary carry but she's not worth the time if you need to spend 2 stages to find her. Instead it's better to stop at Samira and push your levers to play around Darius or Katarina
- Playing with suboptimal augments: this comp is augment-dependent so it's best to avoid it if you don't have a least one or two augments from the list above
- Not building a defensive item on Swain: Swain is the most important unit during the early game because he can solo carry your stage 2 fights. Investing an item on him will help you have a strong winstreak.
