No matter what you play 2 Guinsoo are a must, every small bonus atk speed exponentially increases Bard DPS. Don't play Bard if your opener doesn't contain Guinsoo

Early game
Personally I only play Bard if I got him at stage 2, other Quinsoo holders are neither bad (Sivir) nor poorly synergized (Cait, Senna), Teemo in case you want to cope
Choose Talisman of Speed because it's 100% better than Aid, unlike what you are thinking Bard only needs atk speed!
