How TFT Juggernaut Works
Juggernaut Trait Bonus
Juggernauts gain Durability, increased above 50% health. When a Juggernaut dies, other Juggernauts heal for 10% of their max Health.
- (2) 15% or 25% DR
- (4) 20% or 30% DR
- (6) 25% or 35% DR
Juggernaut is a solid defensive trait for the increased Durability, but where it really shines is when more come together. This takes advantage of the on-death effect, allowing multiple Juggernauts to heal when another goes down. As a two-piece it’s still solid, but unlike Bastion or Heavyweight, it doesn’t apply to the rest of your team.
Juggernaut Synergy
Here’s a rundown of the traits you can branch into from Juggernaut:
- Aatrox – Mighty Mech / Heavyweight
- Naafiri – Soul Fighter
- Dr. Mundo – Luchador
- Vi – Crystal Gambit
- Udyr – Mentor / Duelist
- Sett – Soul Fighter
If you happen to be playing a Soul Fighter comp you actually get a free Juggernaut synergy between Naafiri and Sett, who share the exact same traits.
TFT Juggernaut Champions
Aatrox - Mighty Mech - Juggernaut - Heavyweight 1g
Aatrox’s Blade Vigor ability heals himself before dealing physical damage to his target. Additionally, this ability gets bonus healing/damage relative to a percentage of Aatrox’s missing health. Having three traits is extremely useful as a 1-cost unit, making Aatrox a solid foundation as you piece traits together.
Naafiri Soul Fighter Juggernaut 1g
Naafiri is basic early game frontline unit that shields and deals physical damage with her ability. Not much really stands out as a unit alone, but she’s an obvious inclusion in a vertical Soul Fighter comp with Sett.
Dr. Mundo Luchador Juggernaut 2g
Dr. Mundo deals bonus damage with his next attack every seven seconds, and his active ability grants him max Health while triggering the passive immediately. This max Health increase works phenomenally with his unique combination of Luchador + Juggernaut. Both traits give him healing opportunities, giving him a ton of sustain for a 2-cost tank.
Vi Crystal Gambit Juggernaut 2g
Vi passively gains Armor and Magic Resist based on each component item equipped to your team. As for her active, it deals physical damage, Sundering her target and nearby enemies. Vi’s passive ability leads to some interesting decisions during the early game, allowing her to gain a lot of power if you manage items accordingly. With Crystal Gambit in mind, it certainly gives the ability to hold up in fights, but hopefully not to the point of unintentionally breaking a streak.
Udyr Mentor Juggernaut Duelist 3g
Udyr has a pretty standard ability, dealing three rapid strikes to enemies and healing from each one. However, he has access to three fantastic traits with Mentor, Duelist, and Juggernaut. As for his unique Mentor bonus, he provides AD + AP to the team, making him an extremely flexible pickup.
Sett Soul Fighter Juggernaut 4g
Sett’s Maximum Grit Overdrive heals himself over a short duration while dealing physical damage to the target. Afterwards, he unleashes physical damage in a cone, dealing even more damage to those in the center line. This additional damage scales based on the total amount of healing received during combat, which fits perfectly with Juggernaut. If Sett’s allies go down, he’ll hit even harder.
