How TFT Sorcerer Works

Sorcerer Trait Bonus

AD

Sorcerers gain bonus Ability Power.

When an enemy dies after being damaged by a Sorcerer, they deal a percentage of that enemy's maximum Health to another enemy.

  • (2) 20 AP; 8% max Health
  • (4) 50 AP; 10% max Health
  • (6) 90 AP; 12% max Health to 2 enemies

Sorcerers have a unique benefit in Set 15, granting them the ability to deal additional damage when foes are slain. This damage is a percentage of the fallen foe’s maximum Health, making it particularly effective at punishing tanks. This adds a new layer to their potential, and makes them a valuable asset against certain compositions.

Sorcerer Synergy

Here’s a rundown of the traits you can branch into from Sorcerer:

  • Kennen – Supreme Cells / Protector
  • Lucian – Mighty Mech
  • Lux – Soul Fighter
  • Ahri – Star Guardian
  • Swain – Crystal Gambit / Bastion
  • Karma – Mighty Mech
  • Gwen – Soul Fighter

Sorcerers actually have two different branching paths. Lucian and Karma sync with Mighty Mech, while Lux and Gwen pair as Soul Fighters. This means both of those vertical comps will have built-in access to Sorcerer if they want it!

TFT Sorcerer Champions

Kennen Supreme Cells Protector Sorcerer 1g

AD

Kennen’s Eye of the Hurricane is a powerful ability that heals, then Stuns and deals magic damage to two enemies. This is an excellent form of early CC, on top of Kennen also having three traits as a 1-cost champion. A+.

Lucian Mighty Mech Sorcerer 1g

AD

Lucian can fire four shots that each deal magic damage to the first enemy hit, while refunding his Mana on a miss. Not a bad effect for the cost, but what definitely justifies him is the trait synergy with Karma.

Lux Soul Fighter Sorcerer 2g

AD

Lux’s Soulfire Explosion fires a ball of energy towards the largest group of enemies, Shredding and dealing magic damage to those hit. While simple on the surface, the AoE damage works particularly well with the side effect of Sorcerer.

Ahri Star Guardian Sorcerer 3g

AD

Ahri is a bursty spell-caster that deals increased magic damage based on the target’s missing Health. When she slays her target, it also deals overkill damage to nearby enemies, complementing Sorcerer very well. On top of that, Ahri has an exceptional Star Guardian bonus that grants her (and Star Guardian allies) Mana Regen for a couple seconds after casting. With that, every subsequent follows up quicker.

Swain Crystal Gambit Bastion Sorcerer 3g

AD

Swain excels on the frontline with his max Health gain, healing, and AoE magic damage over time. Bastion + Sorcerer fit extremely well with this, but he also has Crystal Gambit for those who want to live on the edge. Three traits is always a solid recipe for success.

Karma Mighty Mech Sorcerer 4g

AD

Karma’s Destruction Disc fires out and deals continuous damage within its radius, then vanishes after enough damage has been dealt. Like the others, her AoE works well to setup even more damage via Sorcerer. If you’re going the Mighty Mech route she’s an obvious inclusion alongside Lucian.

Gwen Soul Fighter Sorcerer 5g

AD

Gwen passively deals magic damage in the form of a cone, giving her a great attack range. Her active Soul Stitch ability fires needles through the board, leaving threads behind while dealing magic damage to those hit. On her third cast, Soul Stitch instead becomes Rip The Threads, dealing a large amount of magic damage split between ALL enemies, with bonus damage to those near a thread. Gwen takes Sorcerer AoE to the next level, ensuring nobody gets away.

Best Executioner Augments

  • Sorcerer Crest: Gain an Sorcerer Emblem.
  • Dazzling Display: Enemies who take damage from Sorcerer Abilities deal 25 less damage for 6 seconds. Gain a Lux and a Lucian.
  • Sorcerer Circlet: Gain an Sorcerer Emblem, a Karma, and a Tear of the Goddess.
  • Sorcerer Crown: Gain a Sorcerer Emblem, a Blue Buff, and a Lux.
